Bill of Materials Check for Blocked Items#
In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central1, you cannot see when creating a production bill of materials whether the included items are blocked or whether included production bills of materials do not have the status Certified.
With this functionality you can check a production bill of materials or its version to determine whether it contains blocked items or whether production bills of materials with a status other than Certified are included.
Note
The check is performed only at one level for the current production bill of materials.
Included production bills of materials are checked to determine whether they have the status Certified.
The status of the production bill of materials for items that are included within a production bill of materials is not checked.
The Check Blocked Items function checks the items contained in the production bill of materials as follows:
- Blocked = active
- or Blocked (User) = active
- or Prod. Consump. Blocked = active
- or Production Blocked = Output and Replenishment System = Prod. Order
- or Purchasing Blocked = active und Replenishment System = Purchase
- or Assembly Blocked = active and Replenishment System = Assembly
As soon as at least one of these conditions is met, the relevant item will appear in the results list.
Manual Check#
The check can be carried out manually as follows:
- Open the production bill of materials or the production bill of materials version.
- Select the function Check Blocked Items exists in the ribbon.
- The result list will be shown if there are blocked items or uncertified production bills of materials included.
Automatic Check#
Additionally, you have the option to perform the check automatically as follows:
- Open the Manufacturing Setup.
- Activate the toggle Check Automatically BOM for Blocked Items During Certification
As soon as the production bill of materials is certified, the check is performed automatically. A result list will be shown if there are any blocked items or uncertified production bills of materials included.
